Can We Change the World?
Thinking about it, its a long and painful journey to change the world. Maybe not in the literal sense, but figuratively, its hard to change the outlook of people, and to change habits. People love habit, and they will usually alter their lives in order to accommodate that habit. Despite this, http://dreamer.me/how-to-change-the-world has some great people thatve been doing great things to really make a difference. I wish that I could follow their examples and do something that big and worthwhile. Unfortunately, Im not that person. I might have to do something smaller, and start in a place that Im comfortable with (Im also a creature of habit, afterall. haha). Its time for me to make a difference, and to start doing something worthwhile. Maybe Ill look into cleaner energy for my home.or at least wasting less. That should help, right? I hope everyone else is making an effort too, and if you are, good for you! I can tell you just from trying this myself that it takes a lot of motivation to get through the changes sometimes. I know Ill be satisfied and a better person in the end for it too. Now to continue my journey! Oh, and if youre interested take a look at http://www.ordinarypeoplechangetheworld.com/ for some really cool stories and more things you can do.
Why we should Change the World
Why we should Change the World: Everyone says they want to change the world, but they never start. Here are the reasons we need to change the world and why we need to do it sooner rather than later.

Why you should Go Green Today
Alright, so its been a couple months since Ive updated this blog of mine. Ive been trying to green up my lifestyle. Everything from driving less, to changing lightbulbs in the house and using less water overall (that ones hard for me because I LOVE my long showers). Along the way Ive needed some help and encouragement from the friends, but its been a wonderful transition. Ive noticed the changes have improved my mood and given me reasons to continue helping the world. Ive been getting so many helpful tips from TreeHugger.com. They have some cool stories on there too (and some extremely sad things like about the oil spill thats happened).
Okay, Ill keep this blog short for now, I have a lot of things to do, but I recommend everyone make some small changes to your life in order to go green. It will really have a positive impact on the world for the better. Dreamer had a page dedicated to reasons why you should go green, and seeing all of the different problems and issues with the world that are caused by our daily habits really gave me incentive to change my ways. Seriously! Check it out, see what you do everyday and how bad of a habit things really are, its scary. Time to go to Yoga class so thats all for now!
See you later, everyone, and check out those sites if you have the time, you wont regret it!

Why we need to Change the World
You would think its pretty obvious living in the world today that it needs help. From pollution, to world hunger, to children in need, et cetera. The list can go on forever if we really sat down put some thought into it. The problem is that most of us dont really do anything to change it because were so focused on our own lives that we fail to see the bigger picture. Were all a part of something, and if we dont do something to fix it, were all basically shooting ourselves in the foot. It will eventually come back to bite us, the real problem is we dont know when. Thats why we need to change that now, and make the world a better place. There are ways you can do that without investing too much into it - in fact, you dont have to do anything you wouldnt normally do in your daily life. This article at http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-change-the-world explains a few things that you should really look into just for your own sake. And if you feel like you want to take the extra step, and you really should, then you should visit http://dreamer.me/how-to-change-the-world so you can see what you can do about it. Im sucking it up and making a change, and I think everyone else can do the same. Be the change you wish to see in the world, everyone.
The Best Way to Donate to Charity for Free
Did you know there were ways to donate to charity for free? No? Yeah, well, I was right there with you. Honestly, every time I heard donate and Charity used in the same sentence, I always thought of having to give money over to someone, or filling out forms that took time I didnt really have! So a family member turned me onto whats known as click to donate. Basically, it gives a certain percentage by the number of searches you do with their website. I dont usually like to switch my search engine, especially when I have to forfeit my popular search results. Luckily, I didnt have to, since it uses Yahoo, which aside from Google is my main search engine. It wasnt that big of a change, plus you get the added benefit of donating to a chartiy to make the world a better place. Im definitely going to be using dreamer.me to do my searching from now on. Heres where I found more info on this new way to donate. http://dreamer.me/donate-to-charity
Also, there are other sites out there which perform like this search engine, but they were all profit oriented, and dreamer.me was not, so Ive been using them. Seriously, check out this article on how the site stacks up against other donation based search engines, it was very interesting and a lot of help! http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-donate-to-charity-for-free

Why I Love Volunteering from Home
Today one of my best friends showed me a really cool way to get involved with creating a better future and being an online volunteer from home! Hes always been a person to get involved with communities and rallies, but Im not that strong of an activist per se so this was something I thought I should check out.
At first I wasnt sure about it because I didnt want to take the extra time out of my busy schedule (my family takes up my time!) to do something like this, but it was actually pretty easy and I get the benefit of knowing Im helping someone out and changing the world at the same time (and I get to brag to my friends).
This was definitely an eye opening experience for me, and I didnt know where to begin, so I thought Id google it to see if there were any good places for me to start; I found this one site http://www.squidoo.com/virtual-volunteer which gave me some good advice and inspiring words of wisdom. That article also linked me to http://dreamer.me/virtual-volunteer-army which has different tasks for me to help with. I really like it so far, so Ill continue here while looking for more websites that have cool virtual volunteering positions!

Taking Initiative being a Online Volunteer
Ive been saying for a while that I was going to start volunteering in my community to either help children in need, or do my part in making the world a better place, but Im such a lazy person! I know its an extremely bad habit and my parents used to get on my case quite often when I was younger because of it, but I dont know what to do to change it.
Someone showed me online volunteering, or what they call virtual volunteering. Looking into it, I found http://blog.dreamer.me/dreamer-me/virtual-volunteer/ which motivated me to at least check out what the whole volunteering from home thing was about. Ill give it a shot, and maybe some of you can give it a go with me (or if you have, maybe you can share your experiences with me)?
Ill be looking more into whats happening, and Ill check out the resources Ive found at this link http://www.utexas.edu/lbj/rgk/serviceleader/virtual/ as well. Hopefully this will take me somewhere since the ideas look solid. Time to give it a shot!
