The Soft Touch of Bambi
The Bambi Chair designed by Priscilla Lu and Timo Wong of Studio Juju was named one of the W Hotels Designers of the Future for 2011. We wanted a backrest that is inviting to the touch, says Studio Jujus Timo Wong and Priscilla Lu of Bambi. The chair marks a presence of sleek design as it is a comfy, plush seat created with high quality fabrics that mixed in well with the beech wood back and legs. The Bambi Chair exudes elegance and ease with its paperclip backrest design limiting difficulty when moving it around.

Set in the rain forest of San Salvador, Casa Tuscania,Paredes’ dream house, is a combination of contrasting glasspaneling and concrete walls. The enclosing of natural lightin the raised roof, brings comfort to this Swiss FamilyRobinson house where Paredes raises his family.

Paper Alarm Clock by Joon & Jung

The ordinary alarm clock takes a step back as designers Joon & Jung have created the paper alarm clock white. This design is made up of collected paper and is carved exquisitely from mold. The soft tactile presents a soft, cozy feeling. This clock includes a LED light that gives off behind the textile display, mechanical buttons with printed interface, and a knitted code with Joon & Jung’s identifying color.
Joon & Jung also strives to give life to old alarm clocks once you send them your worn out clocks.

Seeing is Believing

Ever want to walk through the happenings of a novel, well now you can within the walls of La Fabrique. The former textile printing factory is displaying hundreds of block letters that forms a story.

This installation has been featured at the 22nd International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont. Designed by European group The Cloud Collective, the exhibit is composed of white letting varying in size. Taking your time with admiration, the text spells out the poem Oppressive Light by Robert Walser.
