Quick Acne Introduction

What is acne vulgaris?

pictureAcne vulgaris is the medical description for the problems we call acne. Acne vulgaris is diagnosed based on certain indications.

There are so many people that have acne, becoming acne free would be is great wish. Many people have problems with their whiteheads, blackheads, or they have infected skin follicles. Years ago it was believed that acne had been caused form very poor hygiene, or eating poorly. It had become clear that this is not the case.

Acne can be caused from not having enough fluid in your body. Acne can be reduced by being certain that you drink at the least eight glasses of water every day. This helps your digestive system and also your circulatory system and helps your body be in great condition.

Using oil based cosmetics is a major aspect in the cause of acne. Acne that has been caused by oil based makeup are usually found in people who only have skin difficulties when they have used the cosmetics. This type of acne will not cause any scaring but it is however unattractive. If you experience this kind of acne quit using the cosmetic makeup products that is causing the problem. There are products that are available to aid in this but be certain that you use one that is non harsh. Any product that has salicylic acid can be an aide that is highly effective against treating whiteheads and any acne that is not inflamed. The best preventive measure is to keep your hands off of any acne. By popping or squeezing you make breaks in your skin, this lets any bacteria in infesting your skin. This is a horrible habit that needs to be stopped by any person who is suffering from acne.

What causes acne?

Despite tens of 1000's of hours of research, physicians are certainly not certain what may cause acne.

The true causes of acne are genetic, hormone, dietary, and hygienic in nature. Chocolates and acne share no common line, but a diet higher in extra fat, oils, and sugars overall most likely contributes to acne. Also, inadequate eating of any sort as a lifestyle tends to weaken the body's organs such as the skin. Rather than pinning the responsibility on chocolate bars, a holistic approach that deals with diet, hormonal imbalances, and appropriate skin attention will likely be successful, without getting rid of chocolate utterly. As the old saw "moderation in all things," the top secret to clear skin lies in stability. Rather than keep your chocolates and your own acne, do away with the acne.
