She was pretty much grounded until graduation. Every single day was a battle. By that I mean every moment of every day...except when she was sick. When she was sick she was tolerable and not totally disrespectful. :) Anyway we were trying everything we knew, but obviously we didn't know much. (for confirmation ask the daughter). amzn.to This year our family decided to learn Spanish together. We tried Dora for the little guy. We tried a course we got at Best Buy. We sounded like hillbillies speaking slaughtered who knows what language. We had a lot of fun, but never would have gotten successful directions to the bathroom. Then we happened upon Rosetta Stone. It was perfect for all of the family from me and dad to our 3 year old, our 14 year old and everyone in between (yes, there are more). Now we are not only learning Spanish together, but we are learning culture and food and having the best time of our lives enjoying each other while we learn. stlscorpio.com I have a master plan for each of my kiddos. They are to hit it big and support me. :) I have a singer, but she probably isn't the meal ticket. Neither is my baseball player. HOWEVER ...my Legos Mindstorms builder...there is potential here. The things these kids come up with...utterly amazing. And the things they want to build...even better. There's the Mindstorm the auto rolls the toilet paper through their butt when on the toilet. There's the Mindstorm which determines which kid farted. There's the warrior Mindstorm and the fishing pole. There's the ...well you get the picture. I'm sure your boys have equally as imaginative uses for their Mindstorms. And you know what? I say more power to them. It's this kind of creative thinking that will build the future for all of us...and get mama that retirement I'm looking for. ;) If you or your kiddos (both boys and girls) don't have Mindstorms you are missing hours of great activity and even more hours of amusing conversation. |
