I want to sit down in my chair Sunday morning when I wake up and not move until the last football, baseball or basketball game is over. And check this out....I bought this new home automation set up...and it can do so many cool things. It comes with directions and suggestions. I didn't bother to read them, of course, but let me tell you what I did. I hooked my curtains and blinds to it so I can open them from my chair. I love to make waffles on Saturday mornings so I hooked up the waffle maker to the system and now I preheat from my bed. I set up a great lighting scheme so that when the back motion detector light comes on, a light by the french doors comes on so that it looks like we are checking to make sure no one is there. Oh, and my sweetheart's favorite...I hooked up an a dog barking sound machine to the doorbell so that when it rings it sounds like we have a ferocious dog there protecting her. My favorite set-up is the 1 push button that dims the lights, turns on the fake fire and the CD player. ;) These are some suggestions of what I've done, but the possibilities are endless. Maybe it's another Y2K. But guess what...all that gold I bought for 2002...well right about now I'm pretty glad I did.
