The Woman in the Mirror...A Spiritual Makeover - Jul 09,2009
In honor of the passing of Michael Jackson... We're starting with the woman in the mirror, we're asking her to change her ways. No message could've been any clearer if you wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make the change. It's time for a spiritual makeover ladies....will you join me in ensuring that we uplift and edify one another in sisterly love? I mean there seems to be such a gap between us women...we hate on each other instead of appreciating each other...I think it may be because when we look in the mirror, we aren't getting a good look at who we really are. Any chance we can bridge the gap and come together to support one another? Now, in order to beautify ourselves, we must start by washing...by the Word....think of Esther and her year of preparation....for one night with the King, she purified her mind, body and spirit.... Let's engage in some healthy, uplifting dialog to help each of us look our best in God's eyes and the eyes of everyone with whom we come into contact. When men used to pursue ladies.. When flowers & or candy was automatic as an introduction into courtship.. When a man would get out of the car and actually open the door for his date, instead of beeping the horn and giving his lady the ice grill for slamming his door after she gets in. When a man actually picked up the check after a nice dinner & movie. What about the good ol days when a man respected his lady so much..a kiss on cheek was good enough to end the night, instead of sneaking away at the crack of dawn! Is chivalry dead fellas?
