If you want to feel your best and have energy, you have to consider the way you fuel your body. If you are eating too much junk food or sugary food, and relying on caffeine to get you going all the time, you are rapidly depleting your body’s health and vitality. Why not try a different approach to eating? One based on raw foods?

 

Raw foods are better than cooked, refined or processed foods for a number of reasons. They contain more important nutrients than a food which is changed, so they supply our bodies with vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants, and they contain enzymes, which not only help us break down and use our food, but which stop us from aging and help us fight disease. Enzymes cannot survive cooking or pasteurizing, which is why they are not present in most refined foods.

 

Another great reason to start eating raw is because many of the so-called staple foods, or commodity foods, such as wheat, corn, soy, and dairy products are irritating to our bodies and clogging for our digestive systems. When we eat a food which is abrasive to our systems, we end up not feeling well or having the amount of energy we should. This can cause us to reach for a supplement and lock us into a cycle of eating poorly and compensating with more unhealthy stimulants. The best thing you can do for yourself is stop living this way and start eating a raw food diet.

Healthy, natural, fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables, and non-glutinous grains can keep us feeling and looking wonderful. When we eat something, we dont tend to think of it in its original state or consider the processes it has undergone in order to get to us. This lack of conscientiousness is why so many of the worst food raising and farming practices continue to exist and pollute our environment.

Processed food will either sit like a lump in your stomach for hours, bogging down your mind and body, or it will break down too quickly, supplying you with the short-lived jolt of a sugar rush, followed by a grumpy, low energy crash. These cycles are bad for you, both in the long term and the day to day.

 

There is no reason to live this way. A better alternative already has come into being. In fact, there is nothing new about it. You already know food is energy, but not all food is created equal. Some of the most common foods in the diet include dairy products, meat, refined sugar and refined flours. Just think about the American diet. We eat a lot of processed food, like crackers, cookies, and breads. We also eat more cheese than most other nations, and we tend to put corn and sugar in just about everything. We also eat meat in nearly every meal. And not just fresh meat, but treated and cured meats, which may contain nitrates. In short, our food comes from a highly controlled and profitable industry, that literally manufactures food by stripping it of fiber, filling it with preservatives and other additives, and marketing it with sugar.

 

Hopefully, I dont have to go into too much detail about why these processed foods are bad. Aside from the numerous additives, the general lack of fiber and high amounts of sugar, many of these foods cause our bodies to become acidic, kill off the natural bacteria keeping your digestive system healthy, and create the conditions for a number of diseases. The better alternative: A natural, plant-based diet.

 

Raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are the better way to eat. Not only do they come with plenty of fiber, but they have active enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and juices that cleanse and heal your body. This is the way eating for energy is supposed to be. Food is not just something that fills you up or satisfies an urge: food is life. What you eat can mean the difference between a long, productive life, and a life spent ill, tired, or in pain.

 

Therefore, the recipe I am about to give you, and all of the recipes in my eBook contain healthy, living, whole food ingredients. They are designed to utilize the best and healthiest items, so that every time you eat, you take in healing and nourishment. Dont worry, you dont have to compromise taste or pleasure to do this.
