Media Web Content Developer
This position involves writing news shorts that are crisp, focused features that requires researching the Web and other sources for newsy topics that can be crafted into relevant, reader-focused articles primarily in the business technology arena.
Other types of writing and content include: takeouts on industry trends, interviewing industry experts for stories, creating whitepapers and short guides, crafting in-depth cornerstone content and link bait articles on a particular topic. Content will be published on PBP Media websites.
Goals for this position
Develop web content that will help generate search engine traffic and attract and retain a targeted audience of subscribers.
Key skills/requirements

- A solid command of the English language and ability to write clear, concise content
- Ability to write 500+ word articles rapidly
- Ability to write on hard deadlines
- Understanding of writing for the web

Congratulations all around!
We did it! The PBP Racketeers Tuesday evening capped their outstanding 2010 Great Valley Corporate Center summer tennis league season with a hard-fought, blood-stained and sweat-soaked, but straight-set 3-0 victory over an old rival, the Vanguard Line Managers, to earn the right to move up to the A Division next year.
The Racketeers took the womens doubles rather easily, 6-3, 6-0, but had a tougher time in the mens doubles, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5 in the tiebreaker), and scored a similarly close 6-4, 7-5 win in the mixed doubles.
The Line Managers had finished next-to-last in the A Division during the regular season, while the Racketeers placed second in the B, setting up Tuesdays face-off at the Great Valley High School courts for a spot in the A Division next year.
We achieved our goal of earning the promotion in our third year in the league. In our first year, we had finished near the bottom of the standings of the B Division. Our second year saw us place fourth, although we then proceeded to lose both playoff games when our star player was ruled ineligible for the playoffs because he had joined the company midway through the season and had not been on the starting roster.
For PBPs tennis enthusiasts, the fun never stops. Cephalon has invited us to play inits own open tournament starting Monday, Aug. 16. In September our winter indoor season starts up at the Great Valley Racquet Club and next year, depending on availability of players, we will explore the possibility of fielding two teams in the summer league, the newly promoted A team and a B team to give more PBPers a chance to experience this fun inter-company competition.
Congratulations PBP B-Ball!
I wanted to send this quick note to recognize and congratulate the team of PBPers who participated in last Friday’s 2010 Battle on Broad Street. This is a 4-person basketball event that Junior Achievement puts on at the Wachovia Center. It’s a double elimination tournament where the winners had to play a grueling and suspense filled 8 rounds of basketball.
There were 24 teams entered from huge firms like Accenture, Lockeheed Martin, US Air and Merck, and our team prevailed against the odds.
The trophy is in the process of being engraved and should be on display at PBP soon.

WEB DESIGNER

We are seeking a skilled, experienced web designer with a great design eye. Our web team drives online revenue for multiple B2B divisions and our Designers partner with business unit leaders to enhance our web marketing and increase sales.
Youll be expected to design/redesign websites, landing pages, e-mails, logos, advertisements, brochures, audio/video, and more.
Requirements:
Exceptional design skills, a demonstrated ability to turn verbalized goals into professional, revenue-generating work, and a demonstrated proficiency in HTML, CSS, Wordpress, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc. Also:
- Minimum of 2 years of directly-relevant business experience
- Experience working around existing web infrastructure

What a tasty treat! PBPs Ninth Annual Cookie Swap!
On Monday, PBP held its Ninth Annual Cookie Swap and pizza lunch. We had a great group of 36 people - our biggest group yet! People from all departments showed off their culinary skills and baked to impress. The variety of cookies was amazing. There were chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate chip espresso cookies, orange meringue cookies, snowflake sugar cookies, and Mexican chocolate cookies, just to name a few. I left with over 4 dozen different cookies, which was the perfect addition to those family holiday parties.
Nicole and Tammi did a great job at coordinating the swap. Thanks for such a fun and memorable event! Hope to see you all there next year!

Another successful Editorial/Marketing conference at PBP
I hope everyone enjoyed the Editorial/Marketing conference last week as much as I did. I definitely learned a lot and it was great to finally meet with some of the offsite editors that I don’t usually get the chance to.
All of the presenters were great, and the breakout sessions were really helpful. Even though all of the presentations were good, I did have a few favorites. John’s presentation on Survey Monkey showed me a very useful tool that I didn’t know much about, and gave me some tips that I hope to use soon. Also, Dannie’s presentation on writing better copy was really beneficial to me. It made me think of different formats and ideas that I hadn’t been using before. Overall, it was a great experience and a lot of fun too.
Special thanks to Dannie and Carin for putting together a great conference. All your hard work and planning paid off. Job well done!

As you all know, the annual Editorial/Marketing conference is this Thursday and Friday. I’m still pretty new to PBP so this will be my first conference and I’m really excited to go. I’m looking forward to not only getting some great tips and insight from the speakers, but also to meet more people at PBP. It will be great to get to know more people in other departments and off-site.
