I had a few queries on this one, so I'm pleased to announce that Oh My Geek now offers free Registered shipping throughout Australia on orders of $100 or more! This is particularly handy if you're stocking up for gifts as we head into the festive season (which seems to come up faster every subsequent year, I know!).  

Also, in case you haven't seen on the OhMyGeek.com.au Facebook Page, we're getting the world famous Buckyballs magnets in October:

Buckyballs are an awesome gift for the office worker that loves to procrastinate, as you can make just about anything with them (check out the video above)!  We'll be stocking the Sidekicks range in original nickel, gold and black colours.  The supplier constantly sells out of these, so we'll have very limited quantities in our first delivery... once they go up on the site, you'd best get in fast.  Keep an eye out on the FB page for updates.

I'll be continually adding to the list of stock over the next few months - there'll be some other gaming-related toys and nick-nacks cropping up very soon.  I've been umm-ing and ahh-ing about getting in kid's toys - science kits, more kid-friendly gamer/microbe plushies and so on - are these things you'd like to see on OhMyGeek.com.au?  Let me know.

Remember, I'm always open to suggestions (brands, types of products, you name it) and if I don't have it, I'll either source it ASAP or add it to the brainstorming list for future site expansion.  There's no point in me running a business if I'm not getting what customers actually want, right?

Hello and welcome to the new and improved OhMyGeek.com.au!  We flicked the virtual switch today and the new site is already showing up for most ISPs.  Hurrah!

Here's a quick roundup of some of the new features:

• Featured/Latest/Top Selling Products: All three of these lists are now visible on our homepage and are updated regularly, meaning that you can quickly see what's popular at Oh My Geek!  In addition to this, all lists are available in RSS feed format - see the 'RSS Syndication' link at the top of the site for the RSS links.
• My Account: You can now create your own account on OhMyGeek.com.au to manage your billing/shipping info (this is the info we will use from now on instead of the Paypal info, as you will confirm it each time you checkout on the site).  It also allows you to track the status of your current and past orders in one place instead of hunting through your email.  You can also create public and private wish lists :)
• Mobile Friendly! Wahoo! Oh My Geek now displays in a mobile-compatible format on iPhone, Android & Blackberry among other models. You don't need to enter in a special URL - just navigate to www.ohmygeek.com.au. Give it a go now and let me know what you think!
• More accurate postage: The checkout now directly connects with Australia Post's postage calculator to determine accurate shipping rates and delivery times throughout Australia and supported countries (New Zealand, UK and US at this stage).  You can even get a shipping estimate from your cart before entering the checkout process!  I have factored in the Registered Post costs, so the figure you see includes Registered Post.
• Reviews: Past customer? Already own some of our stuff? You're welcome to review it!  Reviews can be entered below product descriptions (they're moderated, so you won't see them fill with spam).
• Google +1 buttons: Now available alongside the Facebook Like button both on our homepage and in each product description.  We'd dearly love if you could +1 and/or Like your fave products ;)
• PREORDERS! We can now manage your preorders directly through OhMyGeek.com.au!  A shipping date estimate will be mentioned in the preorder product's description, so now you can order those items in advance and have them shipped out to you as soon as we receive them at OMGHQ.  Please note that if you combine a pre-order product with an in-stock product in your cart, your other items will not be shipped until the preorders have arrived (no split shipping).
