How To Increase Your Computer Speed?
There can be times your computer seems to be slow. One of the reasons can be that your hard disk drive (HDD) is fragmented. This means there are similar files on different parts on your HDD, so it takes more time for your computer to seek them. When your computer starts up, you launch an application or just make a regular search you may notice that it takes more time than usual to perform these tasks. You have experienced degradation of your computer performance.
There are some things you can do in order to prevent this. For example, computers with Windows operating systems, there are standard disk defragmenter provided by the operating system designer i.e. Microsoft. But this is usually so slow, that you can’t even wait for it to finish the defragmentation. So in order to save time you need something else more efficient.
For many years I have used disk defragmenter called Diskeeper. I recall that I used the free Diskeeper Lite version in the beginning with Windows XP and I was satisfied. It was faster than the standard defragmenter provided with Windows operating system. Then I noticed that there was not all features available in this free version like automatic defragmentation. With Lite version you have to start the process manually.
So I bought Diskeeper Home, which I upgraded later in to 2011 version. I still have it on my Windows 7 desktop computer. By the way, I upgraded my old computer into a new assembly by installing a new motherboard, processor and RAM memory by myself. The situation was that the previous assembly did not provide me such an efficency I wanted, so I had to migrate to Windows 7. However, Diskeeper 2011 Home version works well and automatically like I wish in the current assembly. It has really improved my computer’s performance.
