A few weeks ago now I had Mila and her parents come in for a session. She was 6 days old, my favorite day to do newborn photos, and so beautiful. She slept like a dream and I just love her photos. I think it’s one of my favorite newborn sessions. Here she is

Meet 8 month old Taj… the first in a string of 6-9 month old baby boys that I’ve had lately. I love this age… so chubby and cute and full of smiles for me.

Last week I spent a few hours with the lovely Fallu family in their beautiful home to do some photos of Zachary, their new addition. He’s an absolute sweetie… full of rolls and gorgeous creamy skin! He is one loved little boy
2012 Mini-Sessions Announced!

Mini-sessions are always my biggest request, so this year I’m doing a lot of them! And I’m giving you the control to book early and get in at the time of year you want by posting the entire schedule ahead of time. This is also Michelle (Blue Petal Photography) and my first collaboration moving forwards to the new studio ~ Loft 50.
Each month I’ll be doing 2 sessions. One will be a classic family mini-session where you’ll get some gorgeous portraits of the whole family (immediate family) and some of the kids on their own. It really is a great way to make sure that you get a nice set of photos consistently… I know my kids are growing so fast I’m amazed when I look back at photos even 6 months ago at how much they’ve changed.
The other session will be a little more fun, based on a theme for that month. The first ones will be Mama and Me sessions. It seems like it’s almost always mom holding the camera, and never on the other side. Here’s your chance to get in on the action, and make sure your kids have memories of you with them while they’re little. I can’t express how important I think that is. We as women are so critical of ourselves in front of the lens… we’re going to lose more weight, get our hair done, wait til we feel better. The thing is, you’re already perfect to your kids! We never know where life is going to take us so don’t put it off any more.
Each month there will be another fun session for the kids. They will be a little more creative than the family sessions and will be based on themes for each month.
All of the sessions, weather permitting, will be held outdoors in a gorgeous setting. More details to come on that!
These book up really fast. Generally in a few days, although with this many I’m sure it will take longer! That said, if you know you want to book one send me an email at karey@kareywood.ca with a date and time preference and I’ll book you in right away.
One other quick note, these are a really good deal! Normally a family or child session is a $200 session fee and 10 digital files is $800. At $500 they’re 50% off regular pricing
