Camp Sabros Kapatagan

Welcome to Camp Sabros – Sitio Baras, Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur. The Camp Sabros Kapatagan is the one of the main tourist attraction in digos city. This is one of the adventures during a short vacation if you are in our province. Anyway the name Camp Sabros is from word meaning of Two Brothers (Sacdalan Brothers), established on year 1994 and one of the owners is a former active mountaineer in Davao. This place is found up in the cool highlands of Kapatagan, Digos City and obviously the place is very cold even if you’re strolling at around 2pm and also observed some Rainshower which is normal in this place. Also this was featured by Dyan Castillejo on her famous adventure TV program (Sports Unlimited) every Saturday on ABS-CBN. The mountain is 1200 meters/3900 feet above sea level. One of the two of the countrys longest and craziest zip lines: 380 meters and 400 meters. Then for the adventurer’s like me, what are you waiting for come and visit now our place and feel the nature and adventures in my home town.

Also you can see the nature when you are there, by seeing a wild flowers pines trees and many more, this place is so called a little Baguio, there are many similarities in this place like the temperature are so cold then the wild flowers the pine trees the Falls and many more. So for the people love in nature why you dont try to visit the Camp Sabros Kapatagan for you to experience the trail and adventure in this place.

If you want to go all the way up to Camp Sabros Kapatagan, a 4-wheel drive vehicle/SUV is recommended. You may bring any vehicle if you are willing to trek 1 km uphill to Camp Sabros. Just park your vehicle at the Mt. Apo National Park Checkpoint.





History of Digos City

Welcome to Digos City! The Safest Investment in town. There are a lot of tourist spots to enjoy and celebrate in Digos City. Digos being called us the “City of Sweet Mangoes”, Having a modern shopping malls and night life that readily complement its accessible beaches and abundant supply of fresh seafood and etc…

The city was strategically lies on the eastern shores of the Davao Gulf and also in the southern foothills of the Mt. Apo in the island of Mindanao. According to the newest census, that it has a population of 145,514 people in 26,306 in the households.

Then History of Digos City has began, The Digos City is now part of the (Metropolitan Davao) the Metro Davao and is known as the “Mango Capital of Philippines”.

The Digos was converted into a city, in the year 2000. Back in the early days, the Digos was a watercourse; this is a meeting place of inhabitants belonging to the Austronesians settled along the southern foothills of Mt. Apo. The Digos River meets the Davao Gulf and it is ideal for fishing and bathing.

Also during the Spanish Era, a group of natives carrying bows and arrows were approached by some Spaniards traversing the very fertile tracks of land in Davao and creating the Digos Map. One Lopez Jaena Pacheco, a conquistador during the administration of Governor Claveria serving as the head of the group, inquired about the name of the place from the barefooted natives. Believing that the Spaniards were asking where they were bound to, the natives answered “Padigus”, which means “to take a bathe”. Since then the place was identified as Digos.
