Wanderlust

pic by Phillip C
When I spot pics like this one or any time I watch any of the Lord of The Rings movies I get a real itch to go to N.Z.. I reckon the most important draw card is the prospect of some complete RnR out-of-doors as opposed to perching facing this laptop…a bit of snow skiing, some trekking, maybe some wind-surfing.
One thing for damn sure I’m not really keen on is the twenty four hours travelling to arrive there. I suppose if you take a trip that far then you plan to commit some good time and have a good hunt around.

Bleh, change of the seasons
One thing no one explains to you about young children is how they catch every little thing and bring it home. Whether or not you have got your own kids…if you choose to co-habitate with young children you will get everything that goes around the community school or childcare hub. And as if to add insult to injury…the kids appear to be much more resilient to their own particular strain of kiddy visures. Not me though, I come down with fully formed man-style flu. Case in point, I’m confident I should be in isolation at this point.
So right now we’re all ODing on Clinicians Vitamin C wishfully thinking that it can save us. Clearly as soon as the signs are coming on it is already too late. We really oughtta have been taking preventative medicine before we started feeling like crap.

Wikileaks New Year promises
Gosh I am really looking forward to looking at what Wikileaks posts in the new year about the ‘major US Bank’. So far the wire leaks have been a bit pedestrian and in fact nothing more than a little embarrassing to a few governments from what I can tell. Obviously no really nasty stuff, which has to cause you to ponder why those who so vehemently decry Wikileaks plans are so up in arms…could it be that the toughest is yet ahead?

At last, super nice GIFS

From If we don’t, remember me.
Take a look at this GIF carefully for about 30 secs. You have to look carefully…can you spot the change.

Nicolas Cage loses it

Ha ha, that’s too funny. I actually like Nicolas Cage. To be fair he’s delivered a few complete shockers, but he’s done enough wonderful films to be regarded one of the greater actors in Hollywood.

The Bourne Legacy

I am a massive fan of the Bourne franchise, and was super excited to find out that there seems to be a brand new one under development. I was less stoked to find out that since being announced both the original script writer, movie director and Matt Damon have quit the movie. Hmmm, that doesn’t auger well. Of course it is still a must see, if only for completeness, but I am way less enthusiastic now. It would take some thing rather special to match or better the Damon movies.

The Twitter Movie
Awesome! Forget The Social Network, I want to see Jimmy Fallon and Raine Wilson starring in the Twitter flick. I’d go see that.

Hilariously Misspelled Signs

see more Engrish
I fancy the idea that as we speak there’s a substantial number of Chinese (and Japanese) people enjoying a good chuckle over hilariously misspelled asian language signs seen in the United States

Best action film ever?

via 9gag
Any film boasting a devilishly handsome Indian guy who can KO 7 guys with a flying ninja punch must be worth watching. Extra credit if they break out into a Bollywood dance routine after. Too funny.
