Dont Be a Nerd, Wear Another Wrestlers Shirt to A Comic Con
So… Kris leaves for Wizard World Chicago today. It will be good for him to get away for a few days. We have been so stressed about our financial situation lately that we have been at each other??s throats more than either of us would ever like. Being about to get out of the house and the state will let him get his mind off of things, and hopefully by the time he gets back he will be much more relaxed.
I sent him off with a few things that I wanted him to get signed. I sent him off with a few issues of 100 Bullets as well as one of my trades, a few issues of Catwoman, and the first issues of Green Arrow/Black Canary. I have also asked him to try and get something signed by both Alex Ross and Bruce Timm
Kris and I went to his parent??s house to do some laundry so he would have some clean clothes to take with him. He was a little upset when he couldn’t find a Raven shirt that he was looking for. I asked him if Raven was going to be there, because I remember him telling me that a couple of wrestlers were going to make appearances, but Raven was not one of them. My next question was obviously “well then why are you going to wear a Raven shirt?” The first part of his replay was something about not knowing where the shirt of one of the wrestlers that was going to be there was. The second part of his answer was very amusing to me because it went as follows: “besides, I don’t want to seem like a nerd.” All I could do at that point was laugh and point out that he was, in fact, on his way to a COMIC CONVENTION and that in and of itself made him a nerd. Needless to say, it has been officially determined that he is indeed a nerd.
