I spend way too much money at the coffee shop and I want to buy a fully automatic model (which grinds the beans for you and makes your espresso with the push of a button).
I looked at several models online but there aren’t any testimonies from people who actually own these machines. Does anyone out there own a Gaggia or any similar brand they would recommend? Thanks!
If you’re looking for a lower cost, I’d suggest buying a decent burr grinder seperately. One that has a hopper and grinds at a push of the button — without holding the button down.
Here are a couple of links to check out. Krups and Gaggia both makes some good machines.
A was thinking of buying this make/model for a friend. I am not well up on coffee so need some advise. Does anyone have one and if they do are they any good and how does it compare to a Gaggia?
It’s a very good coffee maker and yes, I would compare it to Gaggia.
That’s a nice gift! ;o)
Hi, I want to buy a good espresso coffee machine (probably italian, saeco, gaggia) and I wonder if there is a specialty store. My searches in internet return many online shops, but not physical stores.
I could go to the big ones(JL and the like), but ,i rather buy from a small retailer.
Any recommendation?
Thanks in advance.
personally, I would go to JL or selfridges ‘cos they’ll prob have a big variety and some stock left! I know upper street, islington has a few cool little kitchenalia shops, you might get a reconditioned one there. Also, around spitalfields market, close to liverpool street, there’s a couple of shops there.

Brasil Carmo Faz Kaquend Cup Of Excellence Lot 2 Beans was used. Beans was roasted about 9 days ago. Grinder is Rocky. Fineness adjustment was 10. Tamping pressure was about 20-25 kg. Total ristretto volume was about 50 ml.
Yesterday my Gaggia Classic began to sound different as I made my espresso shots. The sound you hear uccurs when the espresso is made ristretto style, meaning the pump gets to work a little bit harder, but coffee normally begins to pour within 5 seconds.
