Chicago!!!!!
Chicago was amazing!!!!!!!! My friend and I ended up pretty close to the stage, not up on it or anything, but it was a complete improvement from where we were last time at the HOB when we were near the back of the floor area. The show was just awesome...I can't go on enough about how awesome it was (but you all know how great he is!!!) Even Locksley was good (and Butch came and sang a song with them too) and they played a good 45 minutes before he went on. And when he came into to the crowd for 'Hot Girls..' when he stopped and we all sat down I literally ended up to his right and near him for a good potion of the song. My friend liked him even more the second time we saw him because the first time we went she knew like one song and now she knows some more (she even knew 'Joan' and was happy that he sang it because she really likes the song) so I was happy that she was excited about it and we're definitely going when he comes back to Chicago and maybe we'll even travel to see him at another venue.
Does anyone have a complete set list from this show or any of the ones on this portion of the tour? I was trying to put one together but I'm hoping that I didn't miss any or put them out of order and was wondering if anyone had one up....
P.S. What is the whole saying when he (meaning Butch) brings out the little guitar? I know he was like "Little guitar means..." and I couldn't make out the rest of the saying.....thanks for any help in advance!!!
Chicago!!!
I'm going to the Chicago show tonight!!!!! I'm so excited!! It'll me my second Butch show. My friend and I are going. Last time we went, neither of us had been to a Butch show before, but I was superexcited and she had liked the few songs she had heard of his but was a fan by the end of the night.
Anyone else going? Has anyone else been to the other tour dates?
Hey everyone! anyone else going to the show tonight in boston?? what about northampton on sunday with train?
i'll be at both! im very excited. oh and yesterday I ran into Butch in Boston! :)

show at the 40 watt in athens
anyone gonna be at the bw and the bw's show at the 40 watt in athens on saturday??
Butch and Train Tour...
so im kinda bumming hardcore. is anyone else?
not only do i have like literally $130 dollars to my name... but butch's tour that he's been promising and hyping is a tour that he's opening for Train. this means tickets are more expensive, and there are seats in most of the venues.
not to mention that hes not playing in boston. nope. hes in northampton. and concord, nh. cool.
well it is cool for some people since he will be touring places he usually doesnt tour. and other people will get to see him that have been waiting. but no boston?
how do i go from literally sitting with my feet on the stage in providence for $20 to some seat somewhere for like $35/$40 bucks???
dont know what to do except suck it up and hopefully have my brother loan me some money. i cant miss his shows. thats not really an option...
i hope he does his own tour too. otherwise i will be upset. i love the vibe of HIS shows. and this wont be HIS show, it will be train's show. i want some butch walker love. :( sadsadsad.
OH and a random question... I want to preorder I liked you better when you had no heart...but does anyone know if the options come with a hard copy of the CD or just the digital download? I know its weird and old fashioned but i like to have an actual copy of the CD too.
Anyone have audio/video for the Chicago nights? I have a few pictures, that I'd be willing to share, but they're pretty much all the same thing...
Radio Play!?
Not sure if I totally believe him, but I was just playing 'The 3 Kids In Brooklyn' and my Dad goes "Hey! I just heard this on BRU!" (local alt rock station). He started whistling along with the chorus so it probably was. Pretty strange. Dunno bout anyone else but I've never heard Butch on the radio ever. Then again I almost never listen to the radio. Anyone else hear anything recently? or ever?
&Happy New Years everyone! 2010 is going to be great. hopefully. :o
Hey,
Does anyone know where I could get a t-shirt from the NYC show? I was there for them and purchased a shirt but it got ruined on the bus ride back due to really stupid circumstances. I know there were a bunch left over but I don't know who to get in touch with to get another one...I called Joe's and they said they didn't have a name or anything to point me to...
Alternatively if anyone has one they'd like to sell, ideally a size small, I would love you forever.
If you have any info (or a shirt to sell...) please please email me at avollmar@gmail.com.
Thank you!
More shows!
Who is going to Chicago or Atlanta? Just got tix to all 3 Chicago shows :)
So, who's following Butch on twitter? and whos doing the contest?
also, is anyone going to any of the LA shows in november? lucky if you are!!
'Here Comes the...' music video...
Does anyone know if the video for this was ever finished? I thought they had filmed it or were working on it a few months ago and I was just wondering if it had ever showed up anywhere..I know I haven't found it yet if it has..thanks for any help in advance :)
Does anyone know if there is going to be some sort of dvd for this past tour?
I would REALLY like that.
Acoustic In-store goodness
Has anyone seen Butch in TX?
they just played "the weight of her" on wror in boston and they never ever play butch!
Last nights show in Nashville was pretty amazing! A different vibe than prior shows, not quite as loud, but still full of endless energy.
Our opener was Ponderosa, and I really liked them, as did the other ladies I was there with. They were sort of a southern classic rock band.
I don't recall the set list, but it was pretty much identical as all the other stops on the tour.
Now, the important part! Photos!

If you want to see the photos larger, without the watermark, I have them listed in This Gallery, but they aren't all there yet, since it takes a while to upload such large pictures. :) Hopefully by the end of the evening they will all be there!

Cigarette Lighter Love Song in Pittsburgh
I'm usually just a lj lurker, so this is my first time posting. Butch did play Cigarette Lighter Love Song in Pittsburgh and I happened to get a video of it. The sounds quality is decent but not the greatest.
So there ya go. XD
I went to the Boston show, and as mentioned before it was awesome. as usual. There was so many people there, and it was so much fun. he was happy and having so much fun. Everytime i see him i swear it gets better.

I also went to the providence show last night. Did anyone else go? I felt so bad, I'm sure there were only baout 100 people there and most of them had gone to the boston show. Not to mention that it was at club hell, but thats enough of that. Since most of the people had been to boston he changed up the set list a little bit. I wish i could remember but I dont.. so sorry. maybe someone else does. but he didnt open with ATL and Joan, I'm pretty sure he didnt do either of those. I felt like it was cut short and im not sure why. But it was still amazing! and i had a lot of fun. There was some fetish thing that was going to be at the club at 11 so that probably had to do with the short show..so yeah. heres some pics from that if you want.

so my cameras not that good, but I was able to get in the front for both shows so I thought I'd share anyway.
Pittsburgh! (A little late on our part)
Went to the show last Friday and it was amazing! Another first timer to see Butch live! My friend and I ended up getting first row somehow. Anyways, the show part! The Films came on and the crowd was pretty silent and didn't know their songs, I felt bad, but they were really good! I knew a few of their songs. Then Butch came on and started slowly for a show again. He ended up pulling a fast one on the band and played Ships. I haven't uploaded any pictures yet, I don't think I got any good ones either way. Either way, if I screwed some of this up, I'm new to Livejournal/cuts and everything.

Does anyone know...
if this tour will be released as a cd or dvd or both? I just thought about it today being there's the 'Leavin' the Game on Luckie St' dvd and the "Live at the Bukodan" (I probably spelled that one wrong) and a few other live audios that I've bought on iTunes...I just thought it would be neat and wondered if anyone knew if there would be...thanks in advance!! :)
Chicago!! :) Did anyone else go?
I went to the show last night in Chicago at the House of Blues and it was AMAZING!! It was my first ever Butch show (I have liked him ever since I heard 'Mixtape' on the Mix in Chicago back in the summer of 2004 but have never found anyone else to go to his shows with) and I took my friend who *just* started liking him (she knew more 1969 songs before the show but she's already started listening to Butch today (!) as she's now a fan so I'm really happy about that!) We were on the floor pretty much center but more towards the back and had a very good view for most of the concert. The Films were actually good and I bought their cds and I liked how one of the guys played the kazoo at the end of the show when they all joined Butch for 'Canyons'. The set list was the exact same as the others but he didn't play 'Mixtape' like he did at the one place. He said that we were like the first crowd he could get to clap along to the songs :) It was just amazing from start to finish as I was just so happy to see him in concert. When he came out into the crowd for 'Hot Girls' I was like 5 or so feet away from him (and my mom texted me after the show and she was like 'did you pass out' and I was like "Nope, I just sang and smiled really big"). I just love how he gets so into the songs and you can just feel and see the emotion which to me is so rare these days. But all in all, I had an awesome time and wished that I could have gotten some pictures (the HOB doesn't allow cameras and my camera phone doesn't take the best pictures from a distance) but it was just an amazing wonderful time!
P.S. Does Butch toss a coin around in every show? Does it mean anything? I noticed he did it a few times during the night.. P.P.S. I LOVED the "badaahaadaaa lalalala" 'Canyons' part and how Butch looks like a choir director when he does it lol and when my friend and I were walking back to her car, we were singing that up and down the streets :) P.P.S The poster is AWESOME!!! I got it and I can't wait to actually have a place to hang it up at (once I get a frame and my own place) :) And I love my 'The Record Business is F*cked" hoodie too and it's comfy and I can't wait to see people's reactions tomorrow when I wear it if they can read it ;)
