Facebook has been dominating the social network market for the last few years, and will continue to do so in the years to come. They are the biggest and by far has the most users amongst all networks.
In Facebook language, when somebody "likes" a particular page, it is taken as an indication that they are a fan of them, and have been automatically signed up to receive updates on the page that they "liked".
Based on my research, the following table displays the likes for each of the club.
Dallas Cowboys 3,926,551
Pittsburgh Steelers 3,569,645
New England Patriots 2,616,298
New Orleans Saints 2,180,391
Green Bay Packers 2,177,572
Chicago Bears 2,044,596
Indianapolis Colts 1,507,429
Philadelphia Eagles 1,455,699
New York Giants 1,313,430
Oakland Raiders 1,214,996
Minnesota Vikings 1,180,019
New York Jets 1,057,006
San Diego Chargers 979,918
Miami Dolphins 938,624
San Fransico 49ers 910,942
Denver Bronchos 889,376
Wasshington Redskins 801,206
Baltimore Ravens 756,378
Seatle Seahawks 596,433
Atlanta Falcons 580,326
Detroit Lions 557,075
Kansas City Chiefs 532,823
Cincinaati Bengals 505,091
Cleveland Browns 504,223
Tennessee Titans 408,531
Houston Texans 398,471
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 382,544
Arizona Cardinals 371,053
Carolina Panthers 335,929
Buffalo Bills 323,407
St Louis Rams 263,130
Jacksonville Jaguars 219,570
Total Likes 35,498,682
As you could see from the above table, that the gap between the largest likes and the smallest likes is an amazing 3.7M. Dallas Cowboys' likes equalls the total of the bottom 9 clubs' likes.
What does mean for the bottom clubs? revenue loss - less global reach - less likes - less positive future?
If the facebook like is an indication of prosperity, brand and great revenue stream then Cowboys, Steelers, Patriots, Saints, Packers and Bears have learnt the trick.
No matter what colour
NFL Jersey you wear to support your club, take some time to like them in Facebook.
