Vintage Japanese Samurai Helmet Kabuto Replica

This is called a "kabuto" which is a kind of helmet worn by the samurai class along with traditional armor. Nowadays, smaller-sized kabuto are bought and kept by Japanese people as decorations. They are also displayed during the Boys' Festival (/May 5 ) for expressing the hope that each boy in the family will grow up healthy and strong.

It measures 24.5 cm wide and 21.5 cm tall. It is made of metal. This is meant for display and was never worn.


This is heavy. Due to its weight, it must be shipped via EMS express shipping. EMS includes tracking and insurance.

Vintage Japanese Doll Festival Miniature Drawers Hina matsuri

This is a gorgeous set of vintage hina dougu - tansu which means these are drawers used in the "Hina matsuri" which is the famous Japanese doll festival held every March 3rd.

In this set you get 4 pieces plus the original box that holds them. While the original purpose was for display, they could be used to hold trinkets, jewelry etc.

Please note the size-they are small.
1 measures 7.2cm deep x 15 cm wide x 7.5 cm tall.
1 measures 5.5 cm deep x 13.5 cm wide x 15 cm tall.
2 measure 5 cm deep x 6.2 cm wide x 5 cm tall.

The pieces appear to be a kind of lacquer ware with a wood base.

About Hina Matsuri
Platforms with a red hi-msen are used to display a set of ornamental dolls (, hina-ningy?) representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period. The custom of displaying dolls began during the Heian period. Formerly, people believed the dolls possessed the power to contain bad spirits.


The last picture shows you the full set....only the drawers are included in this listing.

Vintage Japanese Bowls And Wood Case Set With Chopsticks Unique

This is a very cool set! It is called a "" or "sandan-kasane" which means "3 layers piled". These kind of sets are very popular in Japan as Japanese like to eat many different dishes at one meal. This set has everything....3 bowls with1 lid, chopsticks and a storage/carry case. I love how the chopsticks keep the bowls from falling out!!

Each bowl has bamboo, plum blossoms, irises and chrysanthemums on it.

The wooden case measures 11 cm wide x 20 cm tall. Each bowl is about 8.5 cm wide. This will be sent via EMS express shipping which includes tracking and insurance..

It is in excellent condition and ready to use. Please wash the bowls by hand and do not use in the microwave.

We were lucky to come across a case of these "katsuji" (Japanese typewriter "keys"). There are over 2300 of these. They are vintage but have never been used. These would have been the extras in case the ones in the machine broke. Please look at the last picture to see what an old Japanese typewriter looked like. There were at least 2000 keys so needless to say, this was only used in businesses.

They are from the "" "showa period" . The "showa" period is from 1926-1989 but these are at least 30 years old as Japanese stopped using them once the word processor was invented.

This would be perfect for using as a stamp with ink or for stamping clay etc.

This stamp is the Kanji (Chinese character) for"" "hama"= "bay".


It measures 2cm long (long enough to be able to get a nice grip) and 1.5cm wide. The Chinese character itself is about 1.5mm wide. It is made of metal.
