All of the teens featured on 16 and Pregnant have a lot of obstacles in their lives, but Whitney Purvis from season one is beginning to make the other girls’ lives look easy.
Fans of the show might remember Whitney as the teen who was expecting a child and a sibling on the show; her mom was pregnant too, just little Father of the Bride II (only more biologically plausible and not nearly as funny). After the cameras went off Whitney’s problems grew when her mom was arrested for drug possession.
Now Whitney has to deal with some Facebook drama, which might seem mundane after all the other issues she’s had to deal with. Weston Gosa, Whitney’s ex and father of her son Weston Jr. posted a naked picture of Whitney on Facebook. She sent him the snapshot while they were still a couple. He took it down soon after he posted it. The couple have been split for a few months now, and this moment of Facebook wrath could be coming out of jealousy of Whitney’s new boyfriend.
Poor Whitney is becoming a one stop cautionary tale teaching teens they shouldn’t have unprotected sex or give naked photos of themselves to anyone. Hopefully after this debacle poor Whitney’s fortune will change.

In the meantime, we’ll be curious to see how much their reality history colors Whitney and Tim’s relationship, or if they can operate independently of how they met. They’ve done a pretty good job already of being secretive; maybe there’s hope.

Two days ago, it was revealed that House, M.D.would be bowing this May after eight seasons. Creator David Shorepushed Fox to stop waffling over the show’s fate because he wanted ample time and warning to end the series the way he envisioned. Because often networks will pull the plug on moderately successful shows with little warning, leaving creators unable to wrap things up and viewers left out in the cold.
Houseis one of the lucky ones: With any luck, the series finale will provide some closure. We’ve found seven others, becausefor every Jack & Bobbycut down before its time, you have a Dollhouse(which put its big reveal on a fast track) or Arrested Development(which actually gets a second chance).
To clarify: I’m never going to know how these shows’ creators felt. Maybe they wanted to go on for several more seasons; doubtless they still had unexplored ideas they were sad to shelve. But these are the series that got the chance to tell a more complete story than if they had been cut down mid-breath.
Since his daytime show, Anderson, first aired Anderson Cooper has not only been tackling his fear of certain food (like shrimp!), giggling while tripping over a coffee table, but he’s also been taking on the reality TV show world.
Just a few weeks ago Cooper went head to head with some of the pageant moms on Toddlers and Tiaras, and now he’s going to get to the bottom of MTV’s Teen Mom series. On Monday February 13th, Cooper will be sitting down with Farrah, Chelsea and Kailyn from the show in an interview that will cover a myriad of topics. But most importantly, he’ll be asking the girls if they feel the show “glamorizes” teenage pregnancy instead of pointing out the actual facts and responsibilities that come with the turf.
Cooper also delves into the fact that these girls have been on the cover of magazines and are actually profiting off of their situation. Although the responses are varied, Farrah adamantly stated: “I didn’t get pregnant to be famous, so, that’s all I have to say.” Are you sure, Farrah?
The best clip is the one where Kailyn blames her mother for not teaching her about sex education, saying:
“I never had a close relationship with my mom. I don’t even have arelationship with her at all now, so I feel that maybe if someone I wasclose with had a talk with me about sex it would be different.”
