Ab Workouts Common Myths And Misconceptions Revealed

If you want to learn the truth about ab workouts and what you can expect from your abs exercises you will want to read this article. Specifically we will discuss what is true and what is not when it comes to getting those rock hard six-pack abs.

1. Endless muscle isolation exercises do not work. Continuous crunches will not burn away body fat from your middle section. It is certainly a part of the process but there is more to it. You must incorporate an effective cardio program along with the abs workout in order to effectively burn the desired fat.

2. The abdominals are muscles that need be trained that way. It’s not necessary to perform high repetitions and a lot of sets to work your abs. You dont need to do hundreds or thousands of reps to get great looking abs. This just results in over exercising.

Ab muscles really are more of a stamina oriented muscle mass so performing somewhat higher repetitions might be more efficient. Nevertheless, it is best to keep reps at 20 or less and concentrate on increasing the level of resistance and variety in your training.

As with any other exercises you should be increasing the weight load on ab workouts. This could include using actual weights or increasing the resistance on your ab machines. You see, the stronger you make your abs, the more toned they will look when all the fat is removed.

3. Skip a day in between your abdominal workouts. Yes, it is okay! You don’t train your other muscles every day, right? Your abdominals are a muscle just like your biceps, chest and leg muscles. You must exercise your abs just like these other muscles, with increasing resistance and high intensity training. This also includes a rest and recovery period. It is not necessary or productive to train your abs more than 3 times a week.

If your goal is a flat stomach with rock hard visible abs, you must treat the abdominals just like any other muscles. If the ab muscles arent developed, you may just have the flat stomach but no six-pack abs. You need to burn away the fat with proper exercise which includes cardiovascular exercise, light weight or resistance training, and an effective nutrition program. Remember, doing thousands of crunches a day or spending hours on your ab machines while ignoring the rest of the formula will not bring you the desired results. Hopefully, this article has exposed some of the common myths about ab workouts and will help you to achieve the body you have always dreamed of.

Abs Workout The Ultimate Guide

An abs workout should be a part of most individual’s normal exercise routine, and professionals state that doing the abs exercise workout should be performed three times weekly. Some people prefer to use ab machines, but you can also simply use your own body and the following routine. Once you incorporate these work outs with regular cardio and a proper diet, you will notice an improvement as your ab muscles become more defined and lean.

1. Leg Lifts

This is definitely the traditional lower mid-section workout. Lay lying on your back with the hands at your sides, Raise your heels off the ground utilizing your lower abs. Lift up your heels an inch, then lower them, but do not let them contact the floor.

2. Combination Crunches and Leg Lifts

This motion is a bit more difficult, but extremely effective in working both lower and upper ab muscles. Lay on your back and raise your heels about three inches from the floor. Without lowering your heels towards floor, lift up your left knee and elevate your torso in a crunch style. Extend your left lower-leg and lower your upper body. Make sure you do not let your heels contact the ground. Now extend your right leg and lift your chest in crunch form, then straighten your right leg while bringing down your upper body.

3. Bent Leg Crunches

Lie on your back with the legs in a ninety degree angle, knees somewhat bent and ankles crossed. You need the feet aimed at the ceiling, and after that lower your legs until you notice the strain in your lower abdominal muscles. This can be an excellent lower abs workout. Position both hands behind the head to support your neck and lift your torso off the floor. Lower your upper body slightly, then raise again.

4. Pelvic Lifts

Lay face up placing your arms at the sides, hands down and your hip and legs in a ninety degree angle, and the feet directed at the roof. Flex your knees slightly and cross your ankles. Raise the hips just like you are pushing your toes in the direction of the ceiling. Use your lower ab muscles while you complete the move.

These exercise moves are certainly going to push you to work hard. If you dont feel your lower abdominal muscles working as you do these exercises, then you will need to check your form because you most likely arent doing them correctly. You may want to change up your program doing certain exercises one day and others the next in order to keep things fresh and you motivated.

Some people consistently do their abs workout every day, plus they might have been performing these workouts for many years, and they still do not possess a toned stomach. Some professionals say that it is not in everyones family genes to have a flat tummy, and therefore no amount of physical exercise or abs exercise can help if that is the situation. They assert that considerably more essential than an abs workout is the total amount of calories that an individual consumes every day.

Aside from the abs exercises your daily eating routine will have an extremely significant role with your journey to obtain the hard six pack abs that you always dream of. Without the proper diet plan, it might be harder to burn all of the calories which you have consumed and that excess will make up the body fat which will cover your abs, hiding the muscle definition that you would like. In terms of getting rid of unwanted belly fat, eliminating as much salt, trans fat, and carbohydrates will be the first order of company. On the other hand, you will need to consume lots of lean meat, fish, and fresh produce. If you consistently eat a balanced diet and follow your abs workout plan, whether using ab machines or or this simple exercise program, you should be able to meet your goals of achieving that washboard stomach.

The Ab Machine Does It Really Work?

I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials and even the numerous advertisements on the internet about ab machines which will magically transform your body giving you six-pack, rock hard abs practically overnight. If you want to know the truth about these abdominal exercise machines then you will want to read this article. Specifically we’ll discuss if they work, the pros, and the cons of using an ab machine. After reading this article you should be able to make an informed decision about purchasing this equipment.

Ab machines can absolutely help you to lose weight, strengthen, and tone your abdominal muscles. But, it will not happen in just a couple of days. There are other factors involved, and you must work hard in order to see the desired results. Remember, that a cardio or aerobic workout is required in order to burn fat. Luckily, most of these machines focus on the cardio aspect as well as the simple abdominal workout. If you purchase a machine that doesn’t focus as much on the aerobic routine, you will have to supplement your workout with either walking, running, biking, or some other form of cardio exercise.

In order to get in the best possible shape, health, and achieve that desired look, you will also need to incorporate a healthy diet, and possibly reduce your caloric intake. If you are serious about getting a washboard stomach, you will need to educate yourself on metabolism, nutrition, and eating a proper diet to fuel your workouts and burn fat.

The Pros

If you dread doing the traditional crunches, sit ups, or using the planks or machines at the gym, you will love most ab machines. They can effectively promote core stabilization by isolating the ab region. At the same time, they can also eliminate virtually all hip flexor involvement, and cause no strain to the neck or lower back.

Along with muscle toning, most ab equipment will provide an aerobic workout. Your body can be anatomically aligned and fully supported, allowing your muscles to be used in the most effective manner. Not only will you target your target your lower, middle, and upper abs, and obliques, but also your arms, thighs, and buttocks for a full synergistic routine.

Most of these machines are easy to assemble, disassemble, and put away in a convenient location. Many also come with instructional DVDs and routines to take all the guess-work out and provide an easy to follow out of the box challenging routine. They can also come with diet guides and meal plans to put you on the best track for success.

The Cons

Some first time users report that they feel they are not getting the proper burn in their abs. If this happens, you just need to experiment and find the best posture to contract the ab muscles. The instructional DVDs can assist you in this area. Most of the machines are slightly different and it may take a few tries to get the proper technique working for you, but this is true of any type of exercise or exercise equipment.

The success you have will largely be determined by the effort you provide, along with the use of a proper meal plan. Remember, there are no miracle solutions and the only way to achieve your goals is through hard work, consistent action, and healthy eating habits.

So, does the ab machine work? Well, yes and no. It does work, but you must work too. Don’t believe all the hype that you see and hear about immediate results. If you truly wish to get the body of your dreams and take your fitness to the next level, you will need to put in the time and effort in order to reach your goals.

Are you are tired of doing those uncomfortable situps and crunches on the floor, and placing undue stress and strain on the head, neck and back? Do you have weak abs and are looking for an efficient, and focused routine? Would you like to combine a cardiovascular routine with an engaging abdominal workout? Do you desire a gym quality ab workout in the comfort of your own home? If you answered yes to those questions then an ab machine may be just what you need.

Some people have questioned the strength and ruggedness of this machine, but I’ve posted another video below where Jennifer Nichols really puts this machine to the test and itdefinitely stands up. But, because of some of the complaints about its durability, I felt it was necessary to only give this machine a three star overall rating. Remember, always do your homework before purchasing any product. You can usually find a very decent price on Amazon, whether new or used, so I gave the pricing on this particular producta 4 star rating.

Let me show you what current owners have to say about it.

Lee,

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical of ab machines at first, but since this was I gift, I thought I would give it a try. When I first started I was using my arms to much. I quickly learned to use my abdominal muscles and it just felt right. It’s all about learning to use your CORE muscles! After 6 weeks, I am feeling and looking great. I would reccomend the Ab Circle Pro to anyone looking to get into shape!!!

D. Taylor,

I just can’t believe the amazing results I’ve already received from the Ab Circle Pro. The reason I ordered this machine was because I was so bored of doing the normal sit ups and I was looking for something that didn’t take as much time as my pilates routine. This has done so much for my abs and in an easy ten minutes a day. I have lower back problems and I can tell that my back has been stregthened as well. The Ab Circle Pro has done wonders for my core!
