An Explanation of the consistancy of Man United

The Red Devils win, That Sentence has been true for the last twenty years but why is this? Here I will list some factors contributing to United’s success. Fergie has taken Manchester United from a fringe team and built them into one of the most prestigious clubs in the world but how did this happen?

Winning attitude – The boss has installed a mentality throughout Man United that means they believe they can always win. This determination means the red devils have the ability to overcome imppossible odds. This mentality exists throughout the team and explains the late combacks and how the team can dominate teams whilst still resting key men.

Exceptional induviduals – Manchester United have had some remarkable talents throughout the premier league era. From Robson to Ronaldo these induviduals have produced moments of magic that have led United to success. Without these stellar talents the club could not be as succesfull as they are at present.

The home factor – Other clubs don’t expect victory at Old Trafford. If you have success in most of games at your own ground this provides a springboard to excel. The intimidation that Old Trafford generates in the opposition can not be understated. This is a major factor in the teams success.

The right players – Yes United has seen many brilliant talents but Fergie has always been dilligent with who he brings in. Sir Alex chooses to bring in players who have the right attitude and doesn’t chase big money transfers unless they fit in with the squad. He also has a remarkable scouting network that has allowed him to obtain squad members for very low prices. Players like Evra, the Da Silva twins and Ronaldo were obtained for an amount that is much lower than their later value. The induviduals he signs also work hard and don’t complain. team harmony sets United apart many serious rivals

The class of 92 – The group including Scholes, Beckham and Giggs will go down as one of the greatest academy teams ever produced. With all those induviduals being produced at the same time it gave the club a backbone that would provide a springboard for dominance over the whole premier league. Since then Manchester has given the team more key players like Fletcher and Brown who have been vital in the club’s trophy wins.

Fringe players – Often overlooked by the public are the non superstar induviduals at Man United. These men are integral in the club’s success. Over a tough campaign having good players that can allow you to rotate the squad means the team can keep fresh. Don’t underestimate the fringe players, induviduals like Wes Brown should be recognised for the key role they play.

Solidarity – When managers are released in the blink of an eye it is a huge factor in United’s success that they have kept the same main man over such a long period. People know who is in charge and wouldn’t dare question his authority this allows the manager to make tough decisions without second guessing.

There you go a list of factors determining the Red Devil’s meteoric rise. Of Course there are more reasons but I believe I’ve outlined the most important ones. Will this prominence carry on only time will tell
